To long!

I tried to upload some pictures and it would let me so I will try to do another posting and post some pictures.

It has been to long since I have posted. First it was because I didn't have any pictures and then it was because there was so much to catch you up on and it was going to take awhile. So I just spent the last hour posting and it didn't save. It said I wasn't logged in so I guess I will start over. Boy the first week of summer was pretty uneventful. It rained here most of the week and was cooler. We spent most of the week just trying to get a routine down. Cole has picked up a lot more chores this summer. He has to practice piano for 30 minutes and read for 20 mins and some homework pages his teacher sent home for the summer. Then he has all his home chores. It has been taking him until about 2 in the afternoon. He doesn't complain he just spends a lot of time talking about all he has to do. Cole has a friend that lives two doors down that is a couple of years older than he is but he only lives with his dad durning the summer he is a member of the church. Cole loves it when he comes for the summer they have a good time together.

Our van broke down on Wednesday and we had to pick up a rental car. We couldn't get a very big car we ended up with a medium sized car. I hated it I don't know how you do it Chauntel. Two car seat in a car and all that bending over and then not to mention there is no room for anything else. I can truly say I love my van. The had the van for a week it is nice to have it back but it looks like we may have to take it back in. Dennis just filled the air conditioner up and it is blowing out hot air. So he is coming to look at it tomorrow. So we will see. I hope we don't have to take it in again. This is why we don't keep cars very long. We keep them for a couple of years and trade them in. This is the longest we have kept a car. It will be four years in May. We usually have a car for about 2 years. We usually don't any have to buy tires. Which we had to do on the van this last fall. I really hate having to get a car fix. I feel like you just basically set you money on fire and watch it burn. It seems like everytime you take a car in it cost you twice as much as they thought and then they never really fix the problem or something else goes wrong. O.k.

We went to Spokane with Ryan on Thursday the 15th . We had a good time the kids and I did a lot of swimming. When Ryan was done on Friday we head right home he had to work on Saturday and he worked all day. So the kids and I went out and picked up Ryan's Father's Day gift. We got him an air compressor. Then on Saturday night we had a couple of families over for a BBQ. On Sunday after church we headed back to Spokane and Ryan went to bed early he had to be up at 2 am. Not much of a Father's Day. The kids and I had a good time swimming until Ryan was off work then we head over to Manato park. Boy did that bring back some memories. The kids played on the toys and we went for a walk through the rose garden and the Japanese Garden. We tired to walk through the lilac garden but there weren't any. I don't know but I guess they are not in season?

Tuesday I went to the Church Store house. We need to catch up on our food storage since we have added two kids. I am not sure where we are going to put the rest of the food storage?

Then on Wednesday we went to the Library to pick up some books. We also got some books on tape. Kamden loves to listen to the books on tape at night before bed. I remember loving to go to the Library. I also went to a Mary Kay thing that night it was nice to get out and visit with some other women.

Thursday Ryan had a double header for Softball. The kids did really well considering there bedtime is two hours before we got home. Of course Carter fell asleep in my arms as we were walking back to the car to go home. I love kids they hang on until you are ready to leave and then you have to wake them up to put them in the car.

Friday Ryan was in charge of an elders quorum party. They had a BBQ played volleyball and waterballon softball. There were 25 families there that is a really good turn out. When we were in second ward we would get the elders quorum and maybe one or two other families. Towards the end Kamden decided to start throwing a fit and wouldn't stop so I had to take her and Carter home. It was so nice to be so embarrassed.

Saturday Cole went with his Grandpa Bassett to deliver mail in Prosser and he let him mow his lawn. He was so excited when he got home. Grandpa also got him his own set of tools. We all went to the Church Dance Festival at the Pasco High football Stadium. It was good the kids were really restless but what I saw was good. I also run into Sister Ransaum and I found out she had another baby. WOW!

Sunday we got to talk to my sister Kendall. We don't talk to her very often so that was nice to hear from her. We also had some friend over for homemade ice cream. They stayed until 11 pm Ryan had to be up at 3:30am. What a nice guy!

It was 100 today. The kids hang out in the pool most of the day. The pool as 98 degrees. So Ryan started to drain the pool today and is going to relevel it and clean it. He said it would be ready by tomorrow because it is going to be 104. I don't think the pool is going to be ready. So we bought a slip and slide. I guess summer is final here for us. It was in the 90's the week before memorial weekend. But we haven't had nice weather since then. The news said Portland broke some records today they got up to 101. They were hotter than us that is crazy.
