Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hey everyone this is Bailey, Rochelle's little sister or as she has referred to me sister #5. I am updating on behalf of Rochelle, hopefully I can keep you all in the loop.

Rochelle had a two tumors removed from the back of her brain a couple weeks ago in Seattle, everything went well until they got home and she could not keep anything down. After a few days of not feeling so great she had another surgery and in terms we can all understand because I am not a doctor, she had permanent tubes put in both kidneys to drain them. She also has pancreasitis, once again not a doctor, but when I looked it up basically it is inflamed pancreas. She has not been able to eat much lately. When I spoke with her tonight she is on a high dose of pain meds. but she is in good spirits. Anyone who knows Rochelle knows she is the strongest and most amazing person. She is not going to let a little thing like surgery and doctors get her down. I am hearing that they are hoping to send her home in the next day or two.She has currently been in the hospital for 9 days, she is ready to be home.

If you have questions please contact her mother or sisters for more information. You can leave a message on her blog or Facebook. I will try to check it regularly. Please DO NOT contact Rochelle or her family at this time. If you want to leave well wishes or messages do it on here or Facebook. Thank you.

I am sure she would appreciate your prayers as well!

My shameless plug...Remember everyone October is Breast Cancer Awareness month ladies go and get checked, and men encourage your ladies to get checked.

Rochelle,

You truly have been inspiration to me. I liked General Conference when Elder Matthew O. Richardson was talking about a hike he and his kids went on. Often times they would be discouraged but they would just turn around and see how far they had come and then turn back around and continue their journey placing one foot in front of the other. This reminded me of you. Hope you feel well soon.

Hey, Rochelle!

Heard you were under the weather (sweet little Cheryl Gillespie on FB!)and want you to know that we are praying for your continued enjoyment of the planet Earth! It was Fast Sunday today, and every time I got a hunger pang, (often, since I seem to always want to BAKE when the weather gets cooler! ;) I prayed in your behalf.

When they let you out of the "big house" (prison-speak for "hospital")and you YEARN for something DELICIOUS (like only I can make, baby!)tell your mom to call me and I'll whip it up! Eclairs, Homemade bread, whatever you are craving, tell her to call me!!

Love you!
