Camping at Mt. Rainer

Well we put our house up for sale. We are going to try to sell it on our own. We have found some property out in Eltopia that we would like to buy and build on. Two different friends of ours is also looking at buying out there. We also found out a couple in our ward bought some property out there. It is about 20 minute drive from Rd 68 and all the shoping.
Well you are going to see some fun picutres from our camping trip. The kids and I took a camping trip to Mt. Rainer with some of my family and my sisters kids. I have never been camping at Mt. Rainer. My mom and dad couldn't believe I had never been camping there. I guess the younger kids had been camping there alot. When we were younger we camped just never at Mt. Rainer. The kids and I had a great time and it is so pretty. As you will be able to tell from the beautiful pictures. This is a cute one of Kamden and Alexis roasting marshmellows. My kids loved the fire. They couldn't seem to stay away from it. You can see our tent. The one the kids and I slept in.

I couldn't believe how close we got to the snow. We saw some of the hikers coming down off the mountian.

Must of the pictures are of us hiking. We spent most of the time hiking or maybe it just seemed that way. I carried Carter alot of the way on the hikes. He actually fell asleep on my back on one of the hikes. That was fun all the dead weight. Kamden did so awsome! Maybe I just thought so becausese she wouldn't leave moms side. So mom spent alot of time with her. But I never did hear her complain about all the walking and hiking. She seemed to have a really good time. Cole he was in seventh heaven. He just couldn't hardly stand to stay on the trails. He wanted to go up every hill. He and Tre were climbing up the hills and sliding down. Anyway we had a good time and saw a lot of very beautiful things.
This week has flown by we spent two day at Mt. Rainer. Wednesday we went to the free moives and then did a little clothes shopping for school. Cole got to go to the Sheriff's Station for Scouts. Thursday and Friday the kids and I spent most of the day cleaning the house and the car. So needless to say time flies.
We were supouse to have Cole's b-day party out on the river Saturday. The weather channel all week has said 82 and windy. So we decided to cancel and wait until after Labor day. I am hoping the weather will be good. I thought I was doing so good thinking ahead and trying to get his party done durning the summer.
Last week we were very busy. Denny and D.J were here. So we tried to keep the kids busy while they were here. We went boating last Monday with Ryan's family. Tuesday we went to the free moives and swimming at the house. Wednesday we went to the water park in Hermisten. Wendnesday night Ryan and the kids went camping at Hood park. Mom, Dad, Kendall and I went and saw Borne. It was really good. Thursday the Bassetts and our family went golfing and then to see Daddy Day Care. Friday Denny and D.J. went home. We went boating on Saturday with Kendall, Jillian, Alexis and some friends.

Carter's Mess!

I don't know if you can see these pictures very well but these two pictures are from Carter throwing two full bowls of noodles soup across the room. I think I told you about it in the last blog.

These pictures are of a party Dr. Ostler put on in the park. He is Cole's Orthodontist. Anyway Ryan and Cole played who could make the first basket. Cole got flung across the mat a few times but he did make the first basket. The other picture is of Cole and I battling eachother. Cole I think knocked me over more than I knocked him over. We had such a good time I was laughing so hard. I didn't think I woud enjoy it but it was fun. The mat was to hot to hardly even step on. They needed to spray it down with water.

These are some more pictures of the party. Cole and Ryan had a cow milking contest. Carter and Ryan rode the bull and the last is of the three kids all locked up for the day.HaHa

Ryan and I had a date night on Friday it was so fun. We invited some friends to go out on the boat and they had some friends come. We found out they are in 8th ward in Kennewick they bought the Mayfields house. Very nice couple. Anyway we went out just adults on the boat. It was fun. Cole couldn't understand why we would go out on the boat without kids. I tried to tell him it was because he never wants to go out on the boat. He loves the beach. He thinks the boat is to get us to the other side of the river to the beach. So I said we weren't going to a beach we were going to ride tubes, knee board , ski and wake board and they didn't like to do that. He still didn't think that was right. After we were done boating we went over to Applebee's for dinner. We stayed out too late having fun.
Saturday was Dr. Ostler's party which the kids had a great time at. They feed us lunch and free cotton candy, snow cones and of course lots of fun activities. Then later in the day we went check out some house and property we just found out about. There is some property out in Eltopia which is on the same street as the Columbia Basin Chapel. They are 2 - 4 acres. So we went to see what the property looks like. There are few negative and some positives we just have to decided if the negatives out way the positives.
Sunday we had a great dinner at mom and dad's. Kendall and mom made dinner for us. We played farkle. And guess who won Kendall I think she always wins.
Friday Denny (Ryan's brother), D.J. and Brooke came into town to go camping for D.J.'s scouts. Anyway we all went out boating yesterday afternoon. We were out to late. D.J. stayed the night and he and Cole slept outside in the tent until the sprinkles came on and they got soaking wet.
This morning the kids and I met mom and Alexis at the movies and watched Everyone's Hero. It was a very cute show. Now this afternoon the kids are summering here at the house. The weather is cooling off and it is so windy here. I am glad it was nice for yesterday and boating.
I can't believe summer is almost over. And I was just reminded by a friend about Cole's b-day is coming up and what are we doing. Ugh!!! Time flies by the older you get or maybe it is the more kids you have.

The changing child!

Last Thursday a friend had the kids and I over. The kids went swimming and run through the sprinklers. The friend taught me how to make egg rolls. Oh, they are so good! Hopefully now I can make them. It was fun and something a little different.

Friday we went to the Hermiston water park. Kim her kids and Kim's friend went with us. Cole took a friend and Kendall came too. We had a good time. Cole saw his cousin Tristen that he never gets to see so they hang out for a little bit. I think Cole really enjoyed being able to see him and spend some time with him. Mom (Sandy) watched Kamden and Carter so Ryan and I could take Cole out on a date. He has been asking for some me time. We went and saw Transformers it was good lots of action. There was to much swearing.

Saturday we all went out on the boat. Bailey was in town for a wedding so she came and Kendall, mom and Alexis. We meet up with some friends who have a boat. We even got mom to go out on the tube again. Mom says she wont be going on the tube again it's to hard on her back. I know sitting in the tube can be brutal on your back. Bailey got up on her first try on the wake board and did a nice job. She also I think did her first 360. Yeah, Bailey!

Sunday we had dinner at mom and dad's it is back to lots of noise. Well I guess I can't say that, it was noisy before Kendall and Jillian came home. It is just nice to have a little bigger family dinner. I hear Kendall is going to be preparing the Sunday family dinner the next two weeks. I can't wait I know it will be good.

Monday Kamden came down with something and has been running a fever today it finally seems to be gone. She slept most of Monday night and Tuesday. Monday she missed practice but she went to her game last night. She still wasn't feeling while because she asked her coach to take her out because she was to tired. That isn't like her. Although today she is back to rear form. She through a huge fit at the orthodontist office today and we spent the whole visit in the car. At the end I went in to check on Cole.

At the orthodontist office they wired Cole's two front teeth together and next visit they will take off the braces and put the retainer back in. The orthodontist office has a new office on road 68 which will be nice. Our next visit will be there that will be nice it is closer. Cole had a make up game on Tuesday and another game today. He seems to really like soccer. I am not sure if it because he knows all the kids from church or he is just have a good time. Cole had a golf tournament on Tuesday and he took third place in his division. He won a hat and brush tees. He was excited. Today is the last day of golf and they have a gold pro there. He thought maybe Tiger Woods was going to be there. He didn't understand the golf pro thing. Yesterday Cole got to go with Kim to the Richland pool and over to Howard Ammon he had a good time with his cousins.

Carter, were do I start boy he is such a busy little man that keeps getting into everything. Lets see this summer he has stop his Binky, stop taking naps, doesn't want to go to bed until 11pm. If I leave him alone for 2 minutes my house is a disaster. Yesterday I went out to do something with the pool. I think I was out there for 3 or 4 minutes. I had just gotten them lunch. I come in and there is noodle soup all over the kitchen floor and counters and in the living room and family room. Yesterday I was redoing my toenails and Carter climbed into the bath with water and sit in it with his cloths on then climbed out took off his clothes took all the bath toys and some things from the closet and strung them all over the upstairs. I can't leave him in the bath by himself either. He will dump out all the shampoo which his has done a few time and soap. He loves to splash the water outside the tube and everywhere I mean everywhere. So what I am saying is my sweet boy who was so easy has turned into the devil. Well o.k. not the devil but a very active child.

Schultz Reuioun!

We had such a fun time this last weekend with most all of the Schultz's. We missed my sister Chauntel and her family. We talked to her on the first day of the family Reunion. It was nice to her from her. We went to see Night at the Museum at the free movies. We then headed over to the park where we let off rockets and played kickball, went in the water, played water balloon toss and did a water balloon launcher. After we were all tired and hungry we headed back to our house and went swimming played games and had homemade ice cream. Cole has been asking for three years as long as we have been in this house to get the pool table fixed. So he and Ryan could play pool. So finally he committed for the family Reunion to get it up and running and he did. The kids loved the pool table even Kamden loves it.
Friday we headed out to the river on the boat. It was not very good weather it was only in the low to mid 80's and over cast all day. We all still had a good time. Mike got up quickly on the wake board, Ryan was jumping the wake a little bit, and most everyone rode on the tubes. OH, I can't forget I did a 360 for the first time on the knee board. By the end of the day I think everyone was tired and sore.
Saturday we headed up to Leavenworth. When we got there we took a family picture minus Chauntel's family. Then we headed out to look at all the cool little shops in town. We stayed a couple of hours and then headed back to Wenetche for dinner at Applebee's. You can't beat the 1/2 price appetizers. We spent the same as we would at McDonald's but much better food. It was a fun ride up and back all the sisters rode in mom and dad's van and we had a great time visiting. We missed an exit on the way up and two on the way back but we made it there and back just fine.
Sunday was a nice break we didn't do much other than sit around and visit and watch Man vs Wild. We had a nice family dinner and we went to mom and dad's sacrament. Brother Beuchaum spoke and Brother Mickleson they did such a nice job.
Monday is back to the grind the kids and I cleaned the house top to bottom and Cole and I mowed the lawn. Ryan was home early so he took all the kids out to the pool and went swimming. Then off to soccer practice for Kamden and a soccer game for Cole.

HOT! HOT! HOT! Weather!

Wow it was such a hot hot week here. It was in the 100's all week. We have had such a mild summer that is was such a shock to have such warm weather. We have been checking the weather all week for this weeks family reunion and guess what cool weather and stormy. Isn't that they way it works. You plan something and you have bad weather you don't plan and you have good weather. It is kind of like when I wash my car it seems to rain or we are out late and get bugs all over it or something like that. I am hoping it will all work out. Maybe the cooler weather will be nice for everything we are doing.

O.k. enough about the weather I guess. Both the kids had their soccer games canceled because of the hot weather. They were both sad but 102 or hotter they cancel. Sorry back to weather again. O.k. one last note on the weather. It was suppose to be 107 or so on Friday so we had planned on going down to Hermiston to the aquatic center with Chelsie and some friends. Just before we left it started to storm poured down rain and thunder and lighting. They will close the pool if there is lighting. So we decided to stay home and of course it stopped about about an hour or so later but it cooled if off 10 -15 degrees. So we will go another day.

Ryan brought home our new couch we order for the front room. It is cocoa brown color and a treated leather. It is suppose to be better than leather because you don't have to treat it you can just wipe it off. We will see how it holds up. Anything is better than that dumb dry clean only Pier one couch we have had for 7 or 8 years. It was a pretty couch but when they said dry clean they meant you can't clean it. So after 7 or 8 years or snotty noses, coloring on it and dirty hands it was time for a new one.

We decided yesterday to have a relaxing Saturday. So we rented Rockie 1 and 2 and the bridge to Tarabetha(sp). We went and cleaned the church at 8am. We took the boat with us and I practiced backing the boat in a stall. Trying to get use to how to back a boat in. Who thought that would be so hard I finally got it I think. We will see once I get out there and do it for really. I thought we were going to watch movies all day and then go swimming, Ryan thought we were going to go swimming and then watch movies. So I watched movies and they went swimming and then they watched movies and I went out with some girls from church. It was fun we went out to dinner at Red Robin. It was a nice and relaxing day!!

I don't know if I told you already or not but Carter thinks he is old enough to give up his nap. He has been such an easy kid to put to bed or down for a nap. So this was such a shock. On Monday it was just like something snapped and he decided he was done. I put him down and then went out to put the ladder in the pool and help the kids get set up out outside. Cole then came into get a towel before he got in and Carter had made a mess he said in my bath room. So I come up stairs and guess what toilet paper and water every where and everything pulled out of the drawers. I spent 2 hours putting him back in when he would get up finally he was asleep. Then an hour later Kamden went in the house screaming and crying up the stairs and woke Cater up. I was so upset. So then it was bed time and I spent 2 1/2 hours putting him back in bed. Then I fell asleep and the two kids came in and said Carter was up playing. I at this point didn't care when he was tired he would go to sleep. So at 11 he came in my room and laid down on the floor and went to sleep finally. So for the next two day he did the same thing at nap time. I spent along time putting him back in his room after getting up. So by Thursday I decide he didn't have to have a nap and so he now seems to go to bed at 7pm because he is so tired. Cole gave up his nap at about 2 1/2 but that was more because I was to busy to lay him down. Now I really want Carter to take a nap and he doesn't so maybe it is payback. Then I have Kamden who will some days go put herself to bed because she is so tired. You think you have one child figured out and then you figure out that each child is different. What works for one doesn't work for another. I guess that is when you ask you friend, family and mom what to do? So if anyone has a suggestion I would be happy to hear it.

I am so excited for the family reunion. We will see most of you soon. I hope everyone travels safely.

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

So I think we are boated out for awhile. We went boating on the fourth twice and it was a zoo. We took a little break on Thursday. We were to go the free movies but we took Carter to the doctor. Then we all took naps for about 3-4 hours on Thursday. It was so nice! Since we didn't get much sleep on Wednesday.
Ryan worked a 1/2 day well it was a full day he was just off by 11am on Friday. So we went with some friends from 2nd ward and his brother from our ward now(Knight's) boating. We drove out to Wind Dust which is like 45 minutes out. It is about 20 or more minutes past Levy. We got a nail in the trailer tire and porcupine quills in another tire. Then when we got there no one was there. The water was down about 4-6 feet and there was no dock or beach. So we convince everyone to go back to Levy. So we went back and had a great time. I got up on skies again. I haven't been on skies since I was in middle school maybe high school. Wow my fore arms are really sore. I used muscles I haven't in a very long time. When we pulled the boat in are tire on the trailer was flat. Luckily one of the guys we were with had an extra.
We decided to go out with the Knight's again on Saturday. Mom and Karra came out for a little bit and Alexis stayed with us the whole day. The kids have such a good time playing on the beach. It is sometimes hard to get them off the beach and on to the boat. We went out on Friday about noon and got home at 10:30pm. Then left again on Saturday about 9:30 and got home at about 9pm. Wow it was fun but very exhausting. So that is why we need a break for a bit. Alexis called on Monday and asked if we were going again. We said no Ryan has to work. So Sunday was nice to relax after a long boating week.
Boy Carter is talking so well. He loves the water to much. Monday when we went swimming he jumped in with out us watching luckily Kamden pulled him out, Wednesday he jump in Dennis and Melanie's pond and Cole pulled him out. Then on Friday and Saturday I had to keep my eye on him because he kept trying to go out and go swimming with the bigger kids. Which would have been fine because he has a jacket on but he couldn't seem to keep his mouth out of the water. He was drinking water out of the river none stop. I don't know how to get him to stop drink it. Kamden had a good time hunting for sea shell or claim shells with Riley and Ethan. Cole, Kamden and Carter all tried out a new tube our friends brought. It is one that doesn't tip real easily and so all the kids went out. I was so shocked Kamden went. I think we got her out once maybe twice crying both times. This time no crying.

4th boating craziness...

Sunday night Kamden got to stay the night at mom's house. She had so much fun with Alexis and Karra. Mom said they played really well together. While they were playing Cole and I were home doing chores. Cole helped me mow the lawn and clean out the pool and clean the house. He was such a good help and no complaining. He also helped entertain Carter. Some people in our ward invited us over for dinner and swimming. The kids had a good time. We went swimming for a while and then we had dinner. While we were having dinner Carter went and got in the pool. Kamden we think got him out.

Tuesdays it was in the 90's and we went swimming most of the day in the pool. Even though we had just finished filling the pool it felt good.

We had a really fun fourth of July. We got up early and went down to Leevy Landing at 7:45. It doesn't open until 8am and there was already a line at the gate and two boats on the water. When we left there were no parking spaces and the street and dirt roads were lined with cars. I have never scene it so busy. This is the first 4th of July we have had a boat. By the end of the boating day the water was so choppy we could hardly even tube it was so choppy. It was nuts out there. When we left there was a line to get out it took us 1/2 hour to get the boat out of the water. We went over to Dennis and Melanie's for a BBQ and then out on the boat with some friends to watch the fireworks. It was a fun and a little crazy of an experience.

Carter and Ryan and I had a rough night. We took Carter to the doctors this morning the doctor can't say weather he has a virus or ammonia(sp?). We were worried most of the night that he could breath.

Family Pictures!!

So here are some pictures. The bottom ones are of Kamden at her soccer game and the next are of Cole at his Soccer game. Then there is a picture of Kevin and Ryan. Then there is a picture of Jennifer and her family and Ashlynn and her family. The boy with shaving cream on his face is Jennifer's sons. They were doing Terry and Cindy Forrey's skit that they used to do at the reunioun. The first picture at the top is of the Christensen family (Ruth's family) singing. Just like they use to when we were kids. Daddies Hands and Grandma's Feather bed.

Busy Week and Family Reuioun!

What is new not much same routine things that we have been doing this summer. During the week the kids have been doing really well with chores and homework. I can't complain there they are doing great.

Monday nights Kamden has soccer practice. That is so funny to watch with each practice they seem to get a little better. I mean a little. They are so cute though. Tuesday and Thursday Cole has been doing Cole lessons and playing a round of golf. and Tuesday Cole has Piano lesson, Soccer practice and then Ryan has been having a double header. Which he had last week. The kids love to run around and play with all the other kids. Wednesdays Kamden has games it was her first this week. They did good only because there is a boy how could probably keep up with the group of kids Cole plays with. On Wednesdays we go to the free movies which we did this week we went and saw Rugrats. Mom couldn't go because she and dad had a doctors appointment. Thursday Cole had his first Soccer game they did well. I think they beat the other team 10 -0. We had to tell Cole not to be a bully to his own team. He didn't even know he was pushing them around the field. So hopefully he will get better about that.

Friday Ryan didn't work. It rained he did do some work at home and measure a few jobs. It was nice to have him home. We got all of our chores and homework done and went to catch poly wogs. It started to poor down rain on us. So we didn't keep looking for them. We went and hang out at Walmart waiting for it to stop raining. Then we ran into a friend who reminded us we had an Elders Quorum party. So we ran home and had dinner and went to it. There weren't to many people which isn't like this ward. We usually have a really good turn out. Anyway the kids played, adults visited. Someone brought a boat so all the guys and Cole and Carter went boating. All the girls and kids went back to a house and played. We didn't get the kids to bed until 10pm.

I tell you this because on Saturday we went to the Forrey Family Reunion up in Moses Lake. And Kamden had a total melt down and we left around 3:30 or so. We got there about 11:30. They were already at the church just getting ready to have lunch. They had lunch and visited and had a family meeting and then a small talent show. My favorite was when the Christensen's song Dad's Hands and Grandma's feather bed just like when we were kids. Then we cleaned up and headed back to Jenn's. Deanna and her family showed up about then and stayed for about an hour maybe. So we got to see her new baby. They did a head count there were 70 that was before Deanna got there that made about 80. So not anything like it use to be. Granted I haven't been since that had them at grandma Forrey's. Well I went to one in Moses Lake and on in Seattle at Christy's. Not like at Grandma's though. There were no kids for the most part. It was nice to see those that were there anyway. They are having the next Forrey Reunion in Gig Habor at Carrie's house. He is great Uncle Paul's son. They are having it on the last weekend in June. I am just passing the word. They wanted us to let our families know.

We are going to mom's today so I will try and remember to bring my camera so I can post some pictures of the week.

Summer is Here!

So here are a few pictures I finally had a chance top upload. The bottoms ones are of Kamden and her friends at the final performance for tap/ballet for the school year.
The next picture is of Cole in his cub scout t-shirt and tool box from scout camp last week. The next picture is of the kids and Ryan in the pool. Last weekend it was maybe in the 80's by mid-week it was high 90's now this weekend back to the 70's. Anyway that is a picture of them finally enjoying the pool this summer. I think they have been in the pool one maybe two other times so far this year. The the last two are of Cole with his three fish and then of he and Ryan eating them.
Cole has had a busy week. He has been doing awesome getting all of his chores done and homework done. He had golf lessons and got to play on Tuesday and Thursday this last week. He love to go and play. Cole and Kamden both had soccer practice this week. Cole seems to be a little to big for the kids he is playing with. We will see how things go.
Friday Ryan and the two boys went up to father sons. They left early on Friday afternoon. When they got there they set up camp and climb a big hill. Carter had a nice ride on Ryan's shoulders the whole way. Then they headed back for dinner and the fireside. They stayed up visiting around the camp fire until midnight. Ryan said Carter fell asleep on him around 11pm. They got up around 6am and had breakfast and cleaned up and head out to fish. Cole caught 3 fish. Ryan had one but just as he pulled it in is swam away with his hook. They only fished about an hour or so and Cole caught 3. The first one he freak out a little. But by the third one he killed it himself. Carter freaked out each time he didn't like the fish flipping all over the place.
Kamden and I went with Melanie to see Surf's Up! It started out a little slow it was good. I think Cole will enjoy it more than Kamden. She says she liked it. Then we headed over to Cousins for dinner. Kamden fell asleep on my lap. It was only 5pm. I guess I should have given her a nap. So I went home and put her down for a nap. She sleep until 8. So I got my lesson for Sunday all finished but then Kamden was up until 11pm. Talking my ear off! She had a good day I think. Then we got up and did chores and checked out mom and dads and went to look for a bed for Kamden. We need to get her a bed she doesn't have one.
We then got a call from Ryan's best friend from high school Rusty Treseder. He and his new wife came over about 6 and left around 9pm. It was a nice visit and kids were so good and we had homemade ice cream. His friend had come up to Portland for a wedding and thought he would show his new wife where he had grown up.
We are looking forward to this week the free movies start this week. Just in time for mom and dad to come home. So mom and come to the movies with us.
I got to Kendall this week before she left for her trip. Carter told her he loved her so then we got to hear from Jillian. She wanted Carter to say it to her too. So of course he preformed and told her he loved her. I love this age when they learn new things all the time.

Scout Camp!

Well, one week gone of summer vacation. Monday start out great. I made chore charts for the kids and homework charts. They can't play until 2 every day unless there chores and homework are done. I am hoping it cuts down on the complaining. I have also started back with the jars we fill with marshmallows. For every chore or job done they earn so many marshmallows and then when there jar is full they get to pick out a toy. So Monday they got right up and went to work. Tuesday I forgot Cole had Scout camp Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. So he had to be at the church by 7am. Kamden got right up and went to work on her chart and Cole did pretty well with coming home at 4pm and doing his chores on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cole and Kamden are playing summer soccer. Kamden has practices Monday night and games Wednesday nights. Then Cole has practice on Tuesday and games on Thursday. Kamden's practice started this last week. So we all set out to go to practice and we drove and drove and drove around for an hour. We never did find the practice. I know you are saying well Pasco isn't that big how hard is it to find. Well the coach told me it was on 40 and Sylvester. Anyway we called him after practice and Ryan now has better directions. So hopefully on Monday she will get to practice. Cole should start this week also but we haven't heard from his coach.

Thursday I got to go with Cole to Scout Camp. Wow is was really cool. They went all out for these kids. Their theme was cubstruction. They made up trading cards for the kids that had machinery and tools on them. They got one when they were done with each station. They also gave them pockets to protect them. They also made tool boxes and at each station received a tool. They made dog house for an adopt a pet agents. Each station was a lot of fun too. Cole wanted to go again this week.

Friday Cole was a little bummed it was back to chores and homework but they did great. So one week down we will see how it goes as summer goes on. Cole has golf on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:30 -11:30. And on Wednesdays we are doing the free movies. So I am hoping he will be able to keep up the chores and homework.

Saturday we went and had our family pictures taken in our Flag Shirts. It went really well. We didn't go to Penny's this time. Boy that is turning in to a nightmare and Ryan is so upset by the time we leave there. We did picture people. We also had Carter's 2 year picture taken. A lot late and of course the last time we had his pictures taken was his 1 year b-day. I am so bad about getting in. Dennis and Melanie took us to see the Fantastic 4 last night. It was really good. I think I might like it better than the first?

I am excited we have Cole all signed up for his classes over in Kennewick for MCP (Mid-Columbia Parent Partnership). He is signed up for wood burning, guitar, swimming lessons, rock climbing, a musical, Karate and a science and history class. The rest Math, Language Arts (English, spelling, writing, reading), computer skills, typing, cursive we will do at home.

I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer so far.

I've been tagged!

O.k. may sister Bailey tagged me. Just in case like me you don't know what that means I will tell you. I guess it means I will let you know 8 things about me or things I like. My sister Baily did such a nice job I am not sure I want to attempt this. But I will give it a try.

These are in no favorite order!

1. Family - I have looked forward to having a family since I was little. And now I have three beautiful children. Who teach me all sorts or things. Mainly patients! I love spending time with them and doing things with them. I guess that is why I am going to give home schooling a try this next year with Cole and a little with Kamden. I can't not talk about my family and how much I love them with out mentioning Ryan. I love him he helps me to smile everyday and find life a little more funny not so serious.

2. I love my calling, well, I love the part of my calling that helps me to take the time to study the scriptures and the topic that I have to teach that month. Without this calling I don't know if I would do that. I love the opportunity it has given me to grow closer to my Savior and to understand the gospel better.

3. Summer Vacation - Oh, I am so happy summer vacation is here. I love having the kids home and doing all sorts of fun things with them. I also love the fact that there is less running around for activities in the summer.

4. Boating - This is a new thing that I love. Well I loved it as a kid but I love it again. I love that we are able to spend time as a family and extend family. I love the heat and spend time out side and with family so this is a great way to do all three. I love all the memories we have already made together and will make together.

5. Cleaning - I do love to clean I love how the house feels once it is clean the sheets or anything else I clean. I think I get this from my mom.

6. Yard Work - I too like Bailey love to do yard work. I love to mow the lawn and keep the yard looking nice. We were just talking in Relief Society about how parents make you weed the garden and how you hate it but that when you grow up how much we love garden or do yard work.

7. Vacationing - I love to go anywhere with my family. We love to go with Ryan in the summer to where every his work takes him. The kids and I go on little adventures until Ryan comes back to the motel at night. The kids always ask me when we are going to a motel again. I think this is there favorite thing to do it you ask them too.

8. Extended Family - I love the opportunity to get together and spend time visiting and making memories together. I am so excited for that next opportunity in July.

Well there it is so now I am tagging Mom and Dad.

It has been a good week. I am done babysitting. The kids are out of school. Cole got twice braces put on his front two teeth. He is so excited he thinks it makes him look like a teenager. Kamden had her last two performances for the year. One on Friday and one on Saturday. The one on Friday didn't start until 7 and got over at 9:40 so Kamden wasn't in bed until 11 pm. and so as you can guess she was up at 6:30 and no nap so she was a bear for her Saturday performance. Mom said she couldn't tell thank goodness.

No a/c!

Carter did good all night he didn't throw up. He and Kamden woke up with fevers and we just gave them some Motrin and they were good.

Saturday was busy so no boating we were bummed. We had Cole's last baseball game at 11:30. Dennis and Melanie came. It was so hot it was 99 or over 100. I think at his game it was only in the 90's but it was so hot. Mom was nice and loaned us her umbrella. That helped a lot. Cole finally connected with the ball on his last hit of the game and season. It was way out in the outfield. It was the best hit anyone has hit all season. He was so excited. He did so well in the begin of the season and then he wasn't hitting so he went out with a bang. He loved it.

We had the end of the season party at Round Table right after. We had pizza and brought a cake from Costco and handed out the kids trophies. The team got Ryan a gift cert to G.I.Joe's. That was really nice. After the party there were two of my young women from second ward graduating. We went to a party at one house then over to visit another. The kids were ready to go home and swim. So the kids and Ryan went swimming the rest of the night. Cole and Ryan were going to sleep outside but it was to hot. I really hasn't been cooling off at night.

Sunday Ryan taught elders quorum there was no a/c. Half the bldg had it and half didn't. The primary room and sunbeam room and the elders all didn't have a/c. I was in the nursery this week which was in the gym and it had a/c. I was so glad to be in there. It was the coolest place in the church. I think those back rooms had to be 90. We had a nice dinner with mom and dad and try to plan a get together which all you girls should had gotten emails for. We are so excited and hope everyone can come.

Family Boating!

Most of the pictures are from Memorial Weekend when we took out Kim and her family. Then there is a picture of Cole making his mummy at school. Then the last one is of Kamden at her preschool graduation. She has another year of preschool all of the kids were invited to the graduation and to participate.

Sewing problems!

Ryan had a double header on Tuesday night so we went and watched. We went home just before 8 so we could read scriptures and have a pray and get the kids to bed. They both had school the next day. Ryan said all the mom's said there and watched both games. I was surprised because there was school the next day. I guess everyone has different ideas.

Kamden had a good time on her last day. Someone asked if she was sad. I don't think so. I think she enjoys preschool but she enjoys being with her family at least I hope. At school today I got to help Cole and his class make mummies. They made the bodies the day before out of play dough. So on Wednesday when I was there they wrapped them up with gauze and watered down glue. It was fun but very messy. His teacher said she was waiting for me to come in so I could do that with the kids. It was fun the next day they made the tombs.

Thursday Kamden had her preschool graduation. She didn't graduate but all the kids were invited. Oh, it was so warm sitting in the sun durning their program. Mom and I took our kids to the baseball fields to run through the water, play in the sand and on the toy. We were there for about 3 hours. Usually there is no one there it is so nice. You can just watch your kids and not worry about them throwing sand at someone else or if they are lost. Well at 10 about 15 cars showed up and about 30 more kids or more where at the park. So it was a zoo but the kids still had a good time.

Today all the second grade classes at Cole's school had a yard sale for there community unit for Daniel. The boy in Cole's class that has Lymphoma Cancer. Kamden and I went in to help. They had a lot of stuff. We bought a big play toy and an old record player with some records. I think they probably made a lot of money lets hope. We picked Cole up early and haded out to the river to go boating. It was 99 today! We were out a few hours and Carter and Kamden I think got heat stroke. Carter throw up on Ryan in Costco standing in line waiting for our drinks. So I think it will be a long night we shall see.

I took my sewing machine in to be fix and the story told me it was unfixable and tried to sell me another one. Mom told me to try another place. So I called them over the phone he said he could fix it. So i took it in and in one day they fixed it and it was only $30. I was not to happy with the other store. I called them to talk to them about it. They just said well we weren't going to send you somewhere else and give them our business. Oh, I will never recommend them again.

Memorial Day!

Well, I guess I can update you. We are almost done with Baseball. Cole's last game is on Saturday but then we signed him and Kamden up for summer soccer. It will start once school is out and go through the first of August. So we we be busy this summer. I decided to probably not put the kids in swim lessons this year maybe once. They raised the price to $12.00 which isn't to much but when there are three kids that is $36 each time. That just isn't $5! Cole will take swimming lessons in the fall at the court club. I think we will stay busy enough with the free movies, our swimming pool, soccer the boat and whatever else we pick up to do in the summer.

Ryan has been busy with baseball and work. We had our 10 year anniversary this weekend. Well it is official tomorrow. Anyway Monday we went out to Olive Garden for lunch and then a little shopping and then to see Pirates of the Caribbean. That movie was 3 hours with the previews wow. It was really good though. It was nice to spend the day together. Then we took the kids to Grandma and Grandpa's graves and told them stories. Then over to Ryan's boss Mike's grave site. It was nice to talk about them and tell stories the kids loved it. Yesterday they were asking us to tell more stories.

Saturday we spent all day out on the water with Kim and her family. Everyone got in but Kim and Karra. It was a nice day but the water was cold. We all came home with sun burns. Not to bad though. We saw Natalie and her family out on their boat. They came over and visited with us for a little bit it was nice. So that was our fist day out on the boat this year. Nat said they have been out a few times since April wow cold I am sure.

I can't believe that there is only a week and a half of school left. Today is Kamden's last day of preschool. She has her graduation tomorrow. Even though she is not graduating. She will do one more year of preschool.

We finally got the pool up two weekends ago but it hasn't really been warm enough for the kids to go swimming. Cole has been in twice but the little kids said it is to cold. This week finally is going to be in the 90's but back down cooler next week. I guess it isn't as bad as Rexburg with their snow.WOW! I am so glad I don't live there. HaHa!

I hope to get over to mom's this week and up load some pictures!

MOTHERS DAY!

Happy Mother's Day mom!! I am thankful everyday for your friendship and for all you do for me and for my family. We love being around your sweet spirit. You have done so much for all of us girls through the years. You have always taken time to come to our events and now my children's. I know the kids love to have you come to there things. I see their faces light up when they see you there. The often ask me are we going to grandma's today, we want to go today. I am thankful for the wonderful example you set for me and my kids.

Over the last ten years I have come to realizes more and more all the things you did for us. There was a talk today in church by one the youth it was so beautiful she talked about her mom and it made me think. Oh, I wish I could put words together and have them sound so eloquent. This youth talked about how her mom taught her that her testimony was the most important thing to have in her lift. As I thought about that I am thankful for your testimony. Even though you didn't bear it often. I know you have one and through your action showed us your testimony. I have been able to developed a testimony of my own. I am thankful for that gift.

I know their are a lot more things you have done for me that I haven't mentioned. I hope that you know I love you.

I felt like I need to say thanks to mom today.

I was so disappointed today when I got on to check everyone bloggs and none of them have been updated in so long. So I thought I would do mine. Because if you are like me I get on everyday to see what is new with all of my sisters. It seems that this is the main way I hear how everyone is doing.

I can't remember if I told you we put up a cover over our patio. We finally finished on Friday. I love it. Now I just hope our vines on the side will really take off and create some shade. Ryan is so good at working on a project until it is done. I love that about him.

Wednesday I went with Cole on a class field trip to Yoke's that is a grocery store. That was so much fun. Then I went with Kamden's preschool class on Wednesday to Yoke's and did the same field trip. It was kind of funny. Thursday after Kamden's field trip we went over to Cole's school for a parents lunch. All parents were invited to have lunch with their kids. Then after that the whole second grade class sang all the mom's a song and had cookies and juice for us for Mother's day.

Cole made me a candle holder for mother's day and Kamden made me a picture and a frame. I love their made gifts. I always thought that was really lame when I was younger but I so love it now.

Friday we had two of Kamden's friends over we went to the park for about 3 hours then came home and played for a while with them. The girls mostly Kamden got tired so we had to run them all home around 2 so she could take a nap. Friday night we went over to Dennis and Melanie's for dinner. Ryan's uncle and some of his kids had come to visit. We all went up Saturday to a Mariners game. We went and saw the Yankee's play. It was a busy day on Saturday we took mom and Melanie out for breakfast. Then Cole had a game it the heat. It seemed to be really warm yesterday. Then about 1:20 we left for Seattle. After the game we drove home we got home this morning about 2:30. I was worried the kids would be up about 6:30 but they slept in until about 9:30. So we got a few hours of sleep.

Today we are having a BBQ at house we are going to try out the new patio cover.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I would love to hear from you all Kendall too.

Finally some more pictures!

So, I finally remembered to bring my camera to mom's house. The first picture of the kids is at the Dam. We went back and they were open. I wasn't allowed to taken in a camera. So we took this out in front of the mailbox. We saw a lot of really big fish. The kids thought that part was so cool. All the movies were down they are switching video people so there were no video. We were the only ones there. We went a couple of Wednesday's ago. The other picture is of Kamden at tap-ballet practice. The next two pictures is Easter Sunday. We could get one of everyone so there is two. The next one is of Cole batting at one of this games. He saw a kid doing the Echeo(sp) batting stance and swing so now Cole does it. The last pictures is of Kamden in her Mickey Mouse costume again. She love to have her picture take and preform.
I uploaded this on Sunday and then I didn't have enough time to write anything so I thought I would come home and do it and you can see how well that went.
Today which is Wednesday I went on a field trip with Cole and his class. We walked over to Yoke's it is a grocery store that is close to the school. The went on a tour of the store. It was really neat. The kids were really wild. The story provided pizza for all the kids after we were done. They loved that and they also got ice cream, cheese, cheese, cookies, and a bag full of stuff along the way. The funny thing is I am going again tomorrow with Kamden's preschool. This time we are not walking but I think all the same things.
Saturday we decided to put up a pergola. I think that is how you spell it. The thing mom and dad had on their back patio in the old house. We don't get in late afternoon shade. That is when friends com over or we want to eat outside. So we needed some shade. We talked about a covered patio but I think this is prettier. So we spent Saturday night and Monday, Tuesday painting. Ryan got 1/3 of it put on Tuesday. He was home most of the day and worked on it. He thinks he might be home again tomorrow and be able to work on it.
I think that boat might me sitting most of the summer with the way gases prices are going. We spent so much money on gas last summer and that is when prices were going down. I really hope what they say is not true that they are going to be above $4.00. I don't understand how they can get away with this. There are to many money hungry people.
Carter is really starting to talk. I think he has been listening to Kamden to long. He yells MOM! all the time because he hears Kamden do it. I don't think he is trying to be so loud but just coping Kamden.
We went to a Home School event last night. I talked to a few of the teachers and the coordinator. Picked up some books and some information. Cole and Ryan made any egg basket. A basket to put an egg in then they dropped them off the top of the stadium stairs. There were a few that didn't break. The let go of Cole's upside down so of course there wasn't enough padding and his broke. He told us next year he is just going to give them an egg with his name on it. He meet one boy that will be in some classes with him that is his age. I think he is excited.
It was 91 here yesterday and in the 60's on Sunday or maybe that was Saturday. It has been very wired weather here. Hot and cold not a lot of in between.
I hope everyone is doing well. Jackson is in our prayers. We love you guys and hope that they are able to find something that works better for him.
