Weekly update or journaling!

Well I am glad to see Bailey has found her camera and is posting again. My sister Chauntel got a new van. Her first van ever. She has had a vehicle with no air and in a car that hardly fit all three car seat. I am so happy for her.

Well last Friday we took Kamden to another performance. There were only a few of her groups performing. She did really well. They performed at Sausage Fest. Ryan and I had never been to Sausage Fest in all the years we have lived here. Very kid friendly I thought it was more of a drink fest. After she was done performing we stood in line for cotton candy for about 30 -40 minutes. The kids were very glad though.

Saturday we slept in well kind of we didn't get up early and going boating. We went out about 11:30. It was kind of funny. Levy is about 20 minute out and we got almost to the road that leads down to the water but we forgot to pick up the pizza. I didn't have food all prepared so we thought we would just pick up $5 pizza. So we went all the back to town. To a place that already has pre made pizza. Only they didn't have any cheese already made and they forgot to so we were there about 25 minutes and for that we got 1 free bag of crazy bread. Anyway we drove all the way back out there and when we got there the park was closed. We don't know why so we drove back into town and went to hood park. Hood park is on the other side of the bridge in Burbank. There we probable 30 trailers but we only saw maybe 3 boats. We don't know where they went. We took the boat over to the blue bridge and tried out our new tube that 3 people can ride. We had a good time are new tube catches some really good air. Even Cole likes to ride on it.

Sunday Ryan had to leave for Lake Chelan for a week. We went to Melanie's (Ryan's moms) for dinner. Dennis (his dad) was sick so it was Melanie and I and the kids. It was nice then we went over to mom and dad's to pick up the paper. Dad was sick and it was late so we didn't stay to long. I was starting to get sick and Cole is still sick he has been sick for a week and 1/2 now.

Monday mom and dad helped me out dad picked up Cole and took him to his football game. While I took Kamden to tap/ballet. Her and Carter fell asleep on the way to Cole's game. Cole did really well and they won there 3 game in the row. They beat the best time in there league. So they will get a straight shot to there super bowl.

Tuesday we picked Cole up for piano and they canceled his football practice until Wednesday because they won. So I got to study for my lesson.

Wednesday my V.T. partner scheduled appointment for today we we I switch to go into Cole's class until Friday. It was nice to go out visiting. We had a BBQ in July so we haven't been out since then. So it is nice to see the women again. We picked up Cole and his friend to take them to scouts. I found out there is a tree at the church that they climb in while they are there. He is definitely a boy. It is not a small tree. We took Cole to practice last night even though it was raining hard. There were only 3 of the nine time there. I think they only practiced because they hadn't the night before. He was so wet probable not good for him since he is still sick.

We are really missing Ryan he is sick to. They are doing a Walmart up in Lake Chelan. Even though they don't allow fast food they are putting in a Walmart. I asked Ryan what fast food restaurant they are putting in Walmart he said Subway. He also said it is 1 mile out of city limits. That is how they got it put in there.

Bassett Family Here!

Sunday was a little weird we went to church with just Carter it was pretty quite. Ryan and I got to sit next to each other. After church we went over to Dennis and Melanie's for dinner with all the family. Boyd (Melanie's brother) and his family came over too. We had a birthday celebration for Cole, Ryan, Megean (Boyd daughter) and grandpa Hughes. If you can see the cake it has I think like 132 or something on it. It is all the birthday's put together.

Monday Kamden and Cole went to school and then I picked them up at 11:30 and we head out to meet the rest of the Bassett family to go boating. We went to a different park then we had been to before. It was weird there was no one there but us. It was a pretty nice day 89 better than on Saturday when we went. Anyway we had lunch and then all headed out on the boat. DJ and Cole went on the tubes then Denny and Teresa and then Ryan and Denny. We ripped one of the tubes so we put Cole on that tube and Ryan on the other and then I hit a rock bar. I messed up the prop and the fin. Ryan and I got out and started kicking and Denny started paddling. But we were going against the current. We really weren't going anywhere. So Ryan started the boat and we just went really slow back. I am so glad we made it back to shore. I think we would have been out there forever. There was no one out there and we weren't going very fast kicking. So the day was over before it really even started. I felt bad for Denny and his family it wasn't much fun on the boat Saturday being cold and Monday messing up the prop. We left Ryan took the boat in to be worked on and I took Kamden to Ballet/Tap. I later meet Ryan and his family at Cole's football game. Then we all went out to dinner at Applebee's.

Denny and his family and grandpa all went home on Tuesday morning. It was fun to have them here. Cole had a blast and so did Kamden playing with cousins. We had to get back into the swing of things. Cole has been sick he can hardly talk but he has been going to school and football. He also had paino on Tuesday. He is starting to get ready for his piano recital.

Wednesday Carter stayed and played at mom's while I went into Cole's class. They have finally taken some kids out of Cole's class. It is better not great but better. Kamden is loving preschool. One of her friends started coming to her preschool last Friday. So now she knows someone. We took Cole and his friend to Scouts. It was his second week but first week to do something fun. Last week was pack meeting. He loves it so far. I hope he will continue to love it. I am so ready to be done with football. Cole seems to really like it but I think it is to much. Four days a week is to much at least for me.

Today I finally had a chance to start working on my lesson for the following Sunday. Kamden had a friend over to keep her busy so she wouldn't bother me. That didn't work very well today. The friend drove me nuts following me and asking me questions about every 2 minutes. Carter has been really fussy the last two days it looks like another tooth. This makes 7 in the front. There are two in the back trying to come in for the last month. Cole's football coaches bought new jersey they didn't like the ones they gave them. So tonight they are taking more pictures. These coaches have bought them two practice jerseys, a football bag and game jerseys or and water bottles. I guess how they look is important?

Kamden's First Day!

Hey it has been to long again. Monday we forgot to get pictures the camera was in the boat and I was on land most of the day. The Schultz's Mom, Dad, Jillian, Kim and Kara and Melanie, Bret and his family we all went out boating for the Labor Day. It was so hot is was in the high 90's. It was a nice relaxing and fun day for everyone.

Tuesday I was really sick. I think I might have had a cyst rupture. So I didn't get much done and the kids were really good for me and they got along that was so nice. Kamden was a big helper.

Wednesday was Kamden's first day of preschool. She loves it. She gets to take a backpack to school like Cole. She really wants to take a lunch to school. I went to school to help out with Cole's class today wow 34 kids is a lot for one class room. His teacher does really well with them. I took in cupcake drinks and suckers he loved that so did the other kids. It is nice to only have to learn a few kids names this year. They are going to pull out 5 kids out of Cole's class this next week and bus them to another school. They are only allowed to have 29 in 2nd. I forgot to take pictures while I was at Cole's school. Mom and dad came over after football and brought Cole a donut for his b-day.

Thursday I had a friends kids all day while she was at work. Her babysitter was out of town. It was not to bad they helped to keep the kids busy. I got the yard taken care of and the downstairs cleaned. Ryan's brother came into town on friday so I wanted cleaned. Thursday after football was Cole's first night of scouts he thought it was so cool. He also had is baptismal interview with the bishop. Jillian came over and watched the kids while they were sleeping and I took Ryan out for dessert at Applebee's for his birthday. It was fun and very nice of Jillian.

Friday Kamden and Carter helped me get things put together for Cole's b-day party. Then after school we all headed over to Ryan's parents house to see Denny (Ryan's brother) and his family. We had dinner and stayed up late playing cards. Cole stayed the night with his cousin DJ. They were up all night.

Saturday we were very busy getting ready for Cole's party. Cole seemed to have a really good time. It was a water themed party. It has been in the 90's all week and Saturday it was in the low 80's and very windy. Go figure! The kids seem to have a great time though. Once they all left we and Ryan's family went down to the park for a BBQ and boating. We went out but boy was it cold. I am so glad we got wetsuits. I don't know about anyone else but they sure help. Once you got wet the wind really didn't help keep you warm. It was fun and Denny's family loved it. We went back over to Dennis and Melanie's and played cards until 11pm. The kids were all asleep before we even got into pasco.

This morning we had to wake the boys up at 9 for breakfast they were still sleeping. Grandma Bassett has taken Cole and Kamden to church with the cousin this morning. So we just have Carter. It is so quite around here. We are going to church just the three of us today how wired. I hope they were good for grandma they are so tired.

One week of school down!

Well I think it was good to have a 1/2 week the first week of school. Cole has been very tired and I think maybe getting a little sick. His coach's let them out early on Thursday. He knew it had been a long week with school starting.

Friday Ryan and I had blood work done we are adding more life insurance. It was the funniest thing the lady told me not to lift the kids for 3 hours after the blood draw because I would bruise. I have had blood work done before and had kids and never buised. So she said o.k. you shouldn't we just have to tell you that. So sure enough I bruised. I think it is only because she said something. Melanie came and picked up Kamden and took her out for the afternoon. The went to buy plants for the house and groceries. Then they went and had dinner and mini golfe and then the went and got there nails done and grandma picked Kamden up a new school outfit. We meet up with them later that night for dinner. It is always nice to have a break and it was very nice of grandma bassett Kamden had a great time. She can now pick out the nail salons. Oh great!

Saturday we spent all day out on the river with Jillian and Alexis. The kids had a good time. It took until probably 1 in the afternoon to warm up. We were out with sweaters on in the morning. Not like it had been two weeks ago. So the pictures up top are of Carter and the other one is Ryan, Jillian, Kamden and Cole and Alexis. The took a little hike up the hill behind the beach. The was very little almost no beach on Saturday. They hadn't let any water down off the dam. Two weeks ago we had a big beach yesterday we maybe had 5 feet wide of beach. We made do and still had a great time.

I am looking forward to attending Sunday School with Ryan. There has not been very many Sundays that we have done that.

First Day of School!

a>

Well I can't remember where I left off. Monday Kamden and Carter and I stayed home from football and ballet cause the kids were still sick. Ryan said Cole did a really good job at being the quarter back. I forgot to feed him before he left so Ryan said he was really dragging energy wise. What a bad mom. I didn't do dinner group either this week. I was afraid of get them sick. Since Kooper had it for a little over a week I didn't want to pass it on. The kids only ended up having four days.

I have been excited to get back into a routine and then I forgot Cole had piano on Tuesday. It was so windy here and a lot cooler. Monday was 98 and Tuesday was in the 80's and very windy.

Wednesday was the first day of school. We all got up at 6:30. Cole has to be up by then so he can practice before school. He doesn't have time after school. The last two days he has been up at 6am he is so excited. I think it helps that he has the same teacher and bus route. Cole gets to sit at the same table with one of his really good friends too. Cole has 34 kids in his class this year. Last year he started with 20 but ended up with 24. So this is a really big class this year. They will do a head count after Labor Day then they will decide what to do with his class. I am hoping they will add another 2nd grade teacher. Last year 24 was a lot of kids in one class. Wednesday was a half day so that was nice for him. We picked him up so we could take Jillian and her friends out on the boat. It was a cool day is was in the 70's and as it got later it got cooler. We had a good time though. Ryan and I got to try out our new wet suits. They work really well.

Today Kamden, Carter and I went to the park with some friends. I think that is the first time since last spring that we have been to the park. We were there for three hours today. It was nice because there was no big kids there knock over the littler kids. We also had football again today. I was talking to Cole's coach and he was saying a lot of the other teams practice 5 days a week not just 3 plus a game day. I couldn't believe that these kids are 7 and 8. I thought that was a little much for this age.

I was thinking as I was writing tonight I hope you guys don't think I write to much. I do it more for a journal and to let you know what we are up too.

Family Fun in Kellog

Well last minute on Friday we decided to go to Kellog Idaho where Ryan was working. We left at 1:30 so we didn't get there until 4:30 on Friday. The kids did a great job traveling with just mom all that way. When we got there we went to dinner with Ryan. As soon as we sat down Carter throw up. Luckily the motel was attached to the restaurant. So I went right up to the room and gave him a bath and changed his clothes and we went back down and had dinner. Carter ate restaurant fries and a little bit of his cheese sandwich. He kept it down so we thought maybe it was his teeth or ear ache or maybe even the windy roads. Anyway after dinner we went back to the room and hang out watch some TV and went to bed. About 1 or so Carter woke up screaming and I couldn't get him to stop. After about 15 minutes he just stopped. Then I tried to go back to sleep and about 2 Kamden throw up. So then Ryan and I tried to go back to sleep then about a quarter to 3 or so Kamden woke up again throwing up. Poor Ryan he had to get up at 3 so he got up to go to work. I bet he was wishing we hadn't come up so he could have gotten better sleep. The kids then decided to get up at 6:45. It doesn't seem to matter when I put them to bed they still get up early. Anyway we went to McDonald's for breakfast and Carter ate a lot and kept it down, Kamden ate pretty well and kept it down so them seem to be doing better. We hung out until Ryan got off work at 11:30. We then decided to stay in Kellog and go on a gondola(?) ride. It is I can't remember the largest in the world or the u.s. Anyway it is a 20 minute ride up the mountain. We got up there and they had a bounce house and a play area and Frisbee golf. Then we took 2 different chair lifts further up the mountain to a fire look out. It was so pretty up there. I enjoyed it a lot but Carter was with Ryan on the last chair lift and his ears started to really hurt. I am sure even more because of an ear infection. Anyway Ryan didn't have anything because I was behind him with the diaper bag. That was silly. We then took the chair lifts back to the lodge and had lunch and the kids played again for awhile. During lunch Carter throw up again. Luckily I had brought an extra pair of clothes and we had wet wipes. I don't know what people did before wet wipes. Boy we use those for everything. So when we got down the mountain we went to check on the last of the guys on the job and then looked at two jobs in Spokane before we headed home. We stopped in Cour d lane to have ice cream and just before we pulled into the drive through Carter throw up again and had a blow out all over. Luckily we had wet wipes again we cleaned up the mess with them. I smelled the whole way home but at least everything was clean. So we were glad to be home. I think Carter was the happiest of all.

We made it through the night with no throwing up. Carter still doesn't look very good and now Cole says he isn't feeling well. So I am staying home durning the first part of church and then Ryan will be home so I can go teach my class.

One of the counselor in the bishopric stopped by this morning to extend me a new calling. They want me to teach in Relief Society (teaching for our times). Of course yesterday on the way home Ryan and I read an article in the ensign about callings and excepting them. So if there is one calling I never wanted this is the second worst. The first of course being Sunday school for the adults. When I was in the Relief Society presidency this was the hardest part of the calling. My neck would stiffen up and I couldn't move and I would be sick after I was done. So this should be really fun and how do you say a good experience RIGHT????

Pictures of football

So in the top picture Cole is the kid right in front of his coach in the green t-shirt. And the picture to the side Cole is stand right next to his coach in the green t-shirt. He is still playing the quarter back. They just got there jerseys they are orange and they are called the vipers.

More and More Football

Hey, I am going to try and blog a little more often. Because I remember things better and because I love hearing from you girls more often. So I figure if I try and be better about blogging more often maybe you guys will too.

During the day on days Ryan is gone aren't so bad because he is usually gone anyway but boy did we all really miss him tonight. We always call him on the phone and say family prayers with him when he is out of town. The kids think that is so cool. I spent all day cleaning the house and paying bills oh so fun. The kids went swimming today. It was a little cooler today it was only in the 80's but they still wanted to swim. Cole's friend didn't have any swim shorts so he wanted to borrow some of Cole's. That was fine but he is alot bigger than Cole. He tired on three pair before he squeezed into a pair. I felt bad for the kid. Then of course we had football tonight. Cole loves it! I got a few pictures they aren't close ups but we can't get to close because Carter will go out on the field.

I can't seem to get the pictures up loaded so I will try again later.

Kooper was here!

Well it has been a week. I am really hoping when school starts that things will calm down a little. I have a feeling things will still be busy but hopefully a more routine busy.

We went down to Hermiston again last week to the water park. I met someone who knew Grandma Forey and Grandma McGinnis. That was kind of funny.

I picked up Bailey and Mike Thursday night from the airport. Boy Kooper is such a cutie. He is a big boy. He was sick all weekend poor kid. Every time he comes he seems to be sick. Bailey and Mike came for Mike's b-day. Anyway Mike, Bailey, Kooper, Mom, Dad and our family went out on the boat from about 11 to 6 on Friday. Then Bailey and Mike went out to dinner for Mike's B-day and the rest of the family and Kim's family did Pizza at mom and dad's. That is a typical friday night dinner for us. We love pizza!

Our family got up early and went out to get a good spot at Levylanding on Saturday. We were there at 8 in the morning. Our family had breakfast and hangout until the afternoon. When Baily, Mom and Kim's family all came out. Mike and Dad went golfing then they came out later. Brett and Anthony, Ryan's brother and his son also came out. We had lunch and dinner out there. Then everyone had to go most of them had a wedding reception to go to. We stayed out until about 8pm. It was a really long day. We also meet up with some old friends. Chelsie Bishop(Brown) and Paul(her brother), Shawn Bennion and Stuart Bennion and there families were out there boating.

We all slept really well but our family had Stake Conference at 9 am so we were up early. We were all really exhausted all day. Sunday we had dinner at mom's this time Bailey and Mike and Kim's family were there that was nice to have more family. Bailey and Mike almost missed there flight lucky Bailey checked there tickets and they got there 1 hour before the flight left. Mike thought the flight left at 5 and they were going to leave at 3:30 or 4 but Bailey looked at the tickets at just before 3 and show that there flight left at 4. It was a really fun weekend but I was totally wiped.

Ryan has been working longer hours again this week. He left this morning until Saturday night for work out of town. I really hate that because that means I have to take the two kids to Cole's football practices. That usually means I don't really get to watch Cole much. Plus the whole putting the kids to bed by myself. I really love having Ryan home to help put the kids to bed. The kids are really good about just going to bed but it is really nice to have him here for that.

Mom and I went out to dinner and did a Mary Kay night. It was fun just ran to long we left about 10:15 and the lady was still talking it started at 7 pm. We did this a couple of weeks ago. It is really fun to do a girls night out with mom. Mom and I took the kids to go see the free movie (Cheaper by the Dozon) today. After that Cole really wanted to spend his money at old navy so mom went with us. Then I remembered I really wanted to go to JCPenny's to get Cole a suit for his b-day. So mom went with us and we ended up shopping for a while. It was good but the kids weren't very good today. I think the kids do better when it is just them and I.

Pictures are of all of us boating on Friday and Saturday. Then of Cole and Kamden on there last day of swim lessons.

Carter on the tube!

Well, what can I say we were out boating again. We went out about 8:30 am to Levy Landing to find a good spot and mom and dad came out about noon and when they left our friends the Belliston's came out. We have been having alot of fun out on the boat. It has been a fun way to spend time as a family and with friends. The first pictures is of our friend Brian out on the tube. We kept forgeting to get a picture of Ryan this is what Cole got of Ryan him getting into the boat. Ryan hasn't been getting much time out in the water since he drives most of the time. I am driving once in awhile. It makes me very nervous. Then the last picture is of Carter. This is his second time on the tube. The first time he cried and this time he did very well no crying. We still can't get Kamden to go out.

Ryan and I had temple recomend interviews and the counsler told me they are moving our church time to 2 pm. Last year we were at 1pm and now in the middle of the year we are going back to that time and an hour later at that. He said that was going to be better. You can tell he doesn't have any kids. I feel for those teacher that have to do this time again so soon with all those crabby kids.

Monday Ryan got off early and we went out on the boat. The river water and really down. Some friends of ours went out too and messed up there prop. There was so much garbage floating in the river. The kids really didn't want to get in. They finally did. What a great family home evening the last two weeks. Now we just need to get the lesson in.j/k We do that on Sundays.

Cole has been playing the quarter back at football. He is trying to learn all the plays. The coach bought him an arm band with all the plays on it. He is really loving football. He got lucky he has a pretty good coach and team. A friend of ours was gone during tryouts and they didnt' have a coach so they had a dad volunteer and he is really bad. I am not sure they will learn a whole lot this year. Next week Cole has his games every Monday.

We signed the kids up for an 8:30 swim lesson time. Wow that is too early. We were trying to get back to an early schedule for school.

Today we went to see Aquamarine with mom at the free movies the kids loved it and Carter slept that worked out really well. Ryan took Cole and a couple of the guys from work out on the boat. Well Kamden and I made dinner for our dinner group. One of the girls from our dinner group had a baby shower tonight. Her mom gave her a shower and it is her second. I always think that is so funny people getting a shower for each kid they have because it is a different sex or it has been along time since they have had a baby. I don't think people need another shower most of the time close friends will give you gifts. It was nice to get out and visit. They did a different game the had a list of a bunch of animals and you had to write what they call the babies. Like Cow and calf. I think I got 7 out of 20. Most of them I had never even heard off.

New Boat!

This cute picture of Cole we are going to put on his baptism program.
Can you believe that he is going to be eight and get baptized.

The two pictures of everyone dressed up is from Derick's wedding. Derick is Ryan's cousin. Kamedn is standing with your grandma Bassett and the other lady is her sister Lynnette. Then we got all the kids, Melanie, Ryan and all of the kids together for a picture. Lynnette brought great grandpa Hughes up for Derick's wedding. It was nice to see him. The last time we saw him was a year ago at the Hughes family renioun.

Cole got his football gear on Saturday. They are not getting there jerseys for a couple of weeks. It was funny they fitted Cole for his helmet they put it on him and then he and Ryan were walking back to the car and Ryan told Cole he could take his helmet off. Cole couldn't get it off so Ryan tried and he couldn't so his coach tried who is a very large guy and he couldn't either. It took the both of them to get it off. So they went back over to get a new helmet. The guy wanted Cole to put the helmet back on and Cole started to cry and begged Ryan to not let them put it back on. So the guy switched out the pads around the ears and it was fine after that. It was a little scary for Cole. Cole is very excited about football he loves it. They have him as the team quarterback and he gets to call his own plays.

On Saturday we bought a boat. The kids love it. We weren't able to take it out on Saturday we didn't get home from buying until 7pm and we had the wedding reception. So Ryan got off early from work on Monday and we went out about 2:30. We picked up mom and dad about 4:30 and had dinner on the boat. Mom and dad road on the tubes together. Mom said she has never been on a tube before she did well. Dad looked like he was have a really good time. He had the biggest smile on his face. I think it was just seeing mom out there. Cole had a good time he had a friend with him. I was the first one to go out. Ryan got up on the knee board. Cole and his friend decided to try the knee board but a storm was coming to we went in about 7.
