Jan update

This is finally how long my hair is now. The hair has finally filled in the mohawk and is growing faster or had a little bit of a head start. Yes that is curl in the top part of my head where I didn't have hair before. I can't complain right at least I have hair thank you.

Last Saturday Cole had a piano recital and we missed it. I hadn't heard he was having a recital. Well I knew one was coming up but I didn't know what time or day. I think Cole forgot to give me a notice. His teacher made these fun chocolate pianos for their gift.

So Friday we did the kids valentines for school. All three kids are in school and they all get to participate in the giving of valentine's. Boy they were some work. You have to have them sign them, put the kids names on them, put the sticker in it place that is a bugger, tape on the candy and then seal the card with a heart. With having three kids that got board half way through made for a little more work.

This is a picture of the kids waiting for mom to come out of the church bldg after church. Ryan takes all the kids out to the car and waits. They think I take to long to come out of church. Some of the time Ryan sends Cole in to pull on my arm while I am trying to visit. When you sometimes only get to see some people at church it is nice to visit. Anyone else have this problem?

Here are the kids play guitar hero. They love this game and it is so fun to watch them play.

This is what we do with our kids when they wont behave. We put them in there with Roxy and let her lick their ears.j/k The kids love to hang out in the cage with Roxy. I don't know why it is kinda funny.

Picture of Cole, Ryan and Roxy.

Theses are pictures from my birthday. Dennis and Melanie took the family out to lunch for my birthday.

The first picture is Cole on his motor cycle and the other one is of Kamden and Carter playing with the dog while Cole was riding.

Test results and Doctor appointment

I forgot in the last update to update some medical. Well almost two weeks ago I had a CAT scan. I don't think I am going to do the CAT scan again. I have done it three times and each time I do it the side effects get worse. This time I was throwing up and also coming out the other end (sorry grose I know). Anyway I was then sick the rest of the day. Like in bed not feeling well. So I talked with one of the chemo nurses she says just tell the docs you are allergic to the scan or the drink that goes with the scan.

I then had a doctor Kris appointment on Tuesday this week and he went over the results with me. It seems the techs that read my pictures missed a spot on the last PET. I guess this CAT scan they found a spot on my liver. But when they look back at the PET from three months ago I guess they can see the spot there too and just didn't notice then. I was really upset and thought I am going to have to sue them this time. I can't let them do this again. Then Dr. Kris said that the spot hasn't grown in three months so it probly isn't cancer. It is probably just scar tissue or something like that. There are some other question about the results that I need to talk to Dr. Rado about this next week. Thing like there are places not healing and they have found more little spots. Let me go back a little bit the spot they found on my liver is only 3.5mm. The other spots are smaller. 3.5mm is very small so I am not so worried that they are anything.

This week when I went in for Herceptin I had a blood draw done for my CA count. It came back 31 which is a jump up from 23 in October I can't remember what Novemembers was it was one lower or higher than 23. Anyway it isn't above the 0 - 40 range but I am still a little concerned. They told my numbers go up a down. I just haven't expereince that. I had a brain tumor last time they told me that.

kids keep life exciting for us!

Well I thought I would try to be better about blogging. I keeping saying that and then I don't update. Anyway I thought I would let you know last Monday I had a CAT scan. I think I am done with those scan. I will update you on all the test and results at the end. Then those that don't want to hear don't have to read on.

So Cole had enough money saved that he bought himself all his motorcycle gear. He bought chest pad, shine guards, elbow pads and gloves. Our next door neighbor bought their son who is Carter's age a helmet for their four wheelers. It was to big so they are loaning it to Cole. Oh, I forgot to tell you Ryan did a side job and a guy gave him his sons old dirt bike. Cole could hardly contain himself when he heard he was on the receiving end of getting a dirt bike. He hasn't been on the bike yet but he can't wait. I think Ryan is going to take him tomorrow. The last time we let him on a motorcycle for only the second time. He manage to out ride his dad and some of the kids his age out on the track. Also within the first 1 hour out on a bike he ripped open his shoulder. An hour later he was back out on the track. The EMT was so a little bit upset with us for not taking him in to get stitches. He is and was fine but he does have a nice scar.

I finally took Kamden and Carter to get some of their shots. I have been putting it off. Kamden didn't get her shots before school started. Carter, I think needed his around 2 or so. So I am a lot late but I also wasn't sure I wanted to get them. Mixed feelings. Anyway they both had to get four shots today. Kamden did great the last one stung like a bee I guess. So she started to cry not hard or bad but then Carter started crying uncontrollably (ear pirecingly). The nurse hadn't even gotten all the shots out and ready. He cried through all the shots and out in the hall while I was checking out and paying. So I decided next time Carter has to go back which is before he goes to school. Ryan gets to take him. Don't you think that sounds like a good idea. He didn't move but he was crying good. So the pictures of Kamden and Carter are of their shots and the some of their treats for being good during the shots. I don't know if you can see but Carter got two bruises from his four shots.

update kind a

This is the kids in their Halloween customes. We left Halloween night for Seattle. We were headed to Disney World. Then I think there is a picture of Disneyworld. The next couple of pictures are of Kamden's Barbie Fashion show party. Which Ryan and Cole praticpated in the girls loved it. Kamden's b-day was the 24th of October but I was to busy and not feeling well so we did the party after we got back in Novemember. The next pictures are from Thanksgiving we spent most of Thanksgiving week with Ryan's family. I was also able to spend a little time with my sister Chauntel. I thought we would have more time but it didn't work out. I am thankful for the little bit we did see them. Then I think there are a few Christmas pictures or around Christmas. Ryan has been off work for three weeks now with the weather. He hasn't had this much time off work for about 5 years. The year Mike died he had a month off due to weather. I have loved having him home and will be sad when he goes back to work. But I am hoping he will go back soon. We do have to pay bills.
The kids have been enjoying playing gutiar hero with him and helping grandpa around his house. Saturday two girl friends and I went to lunch and a movie. We saw seven pounds. Wow it was a good movie but no one told us it was so sad. I cried half the movie. Opps I forgot the picture of my Dad and Gavin is from Halloween. It was his b-day and the kids and I always take him out lunch and cake. This Kendall went with us. This is one of the kids favorite things to do.

Busy July!

I think even with all the cancer stuff going on the kids have had a good summer vacation. It has been so busy around here. Surgery, week with both grandma's, free moives, swim lessons, swiming in our pool, sliding done the water slide, music at the library, reptileman, golf, basketball camp, baseball camp, birthday parties, ward 24th of July celebration, lots of extra kids, cleaning house, mowing lawn(cole), movies, doctors appointments, ice blocking, hiking, riding city bus, allied art show, baptism, boating, sleep overs, free lunch in the park.

I keep thinking I am going to get better at this journaling thing but it is harder than I think it will be. It shouldn't be hard to get on everyday and write just a little but I seem to forgot or I am to tired by the end of the night to blog.

Carter has been sick for a week. Last week he started rolling around on the ground complaining of pain in his stomach. So last Thursday I took him to Dr. Kenzie. She said he had a urinary track infection. Who knew boys could even get those. I geuss with the allergy to milk which causes his immune system to go down and all the peeing outside with dirty hands she thinks is the cause. Anyway we have been giving him the meds but the pain seems to continue. During the day he seems fine and then at night he rolls around and cries for a few hours. Usually the hours of midnight to 3 or 4 am. Then by morning he seems fine again. So yesterday we finally gave him a blessing and then had a prayer and he seems to be getting better and only two little 5 minutes complaining of pain. So I think we are on the mends. It is so hard to watch him be in so much pain.

I took the kids ice blocking this last week we had a good time. Just when it was time to go they all the sudden wanted to ice block.

Kamden had so much fun and really got the hang of it fast. She went down more time in the first 20 minutes than anyone else.

Alexis, we had her all week. It was fun to have her all week.

Cole at the end was having a good time running into his friend and having me catch it on camera.

This is a picture of all of us but Alexis.

This is me. I am so heavy now I went flying down the hill and went twice as far as the kids. I couldn't stop laughing. We had a good time. It was just a little tiring to walk up the hill. I could only do it a handful of times.

Cayon

Warning. There are lots of pictures from our family walk in the cayon. I got them all out of order. I just couldn't resist putting up all the fun pictures we took.

Picture of Cole in the weeds

Cole on the rope swing

When we were done everyone washed there feet in the creek.

Kamden and Cole playing on the toy after the walk.

The is a picture of the three kids together.

Carter wanted to pose for the camera.

Kamden doing a pose for the camera.

There is a rope swing now down in the canyon we could hardly get them away from it.

Last Saturday we decided to go down to the canyon. I remember spend alot of time down there when I was a kid. It doesn't even look the same. Anyway we took the kids down to walk through. Ryan had never been down there with us. We have gone the last two spring breaks. This is a picture of Ryan and the kids crossing the bridge of the creek. The begin of the walk.

This is a picture of the three kids looking at the creek.

This is Cole and Kamden climbing up under the over pass.

Cole was jumping over the creek and Kamden wanted too. So Ryan jumped across with Kamden and the next picture is of Ryan and Carter jumping across.
