First Day of School!

a>

Well I can't remember where I left off. Monday Kamden and Carter and I stayed home from football and ballet cause the kids were still sick. Ryan said Cole did a really good job at being the quarter back. I forgot to feed him before he left so Ryan said he was really dragging energy wise. What a bad mom. I didn't do dinner group either this week. I was afraid of get them sick. Since Kooper had it for a little over a week I didn't want to pass it on. The kids only ended up having four days.

I have been excited to get back into a routine and then I forgot Cole had piano on Tuesday. It was so windy here and a lot cooler. Monday was 98 and Tuesday was in the 80's and very windy.

Wednesday was the first day of school. We all got up at 6:30. Cole has to be up by then so he can practice before school. He doesn't have time after school. The last two days he has been up at 6am he is so excited. I think it helps that he has the same teacher and bus route. Cole gets to sit at the same table with one of his really good friends too. Cole has 34 kids in his class this year. Last year he started with 20 but ended up with 24. So this is a really big class this year. They will do a head count after Labor Day then they will decide what to do with his class. I am hoping they will add another 2nd grade teacher. Last year 24 was a lot of kids in one class. Wednesday was a half day so that was nice for him. We picked him up so we could take Jillian and her friends out on the boat. It was a cool day is was in the 70's and as it got later it got cooler. We had a good time though. Ryan and I got to try out our new wet suits. They work really well.

Today Kamden, Carter and I went to the park with some friends. I think that is the first time since last spring that we have been to the park. We were there for three hours today. It was nice because there was no big kids there knock over the littler kids. We also had football again today. I was talking to Cole's coach and he was saying a lot of the other teams practice 5 days a week not just 3 plus a game day. I couldn't believe that these kids are 7 and 8. I thought that was a little much for this age.

I was thinking as I was writing tonight I hope you guys don't think I write to much. I do it more for a journal and to let you know what we are up too.

Family Fun in Kellog

Well last minute on Friday we decided to go to Kellog Idaho where Ryan was working. We left at 1:30 so we didn't get there until 4:30 on Friday. The kids did a great job traveling with just mom all that way. When we got there we went to dinner with Ryan. As soon as we sat down Carter throw up. Luckily the motel was attached to the restaurant. So I went right up to the room and gave him a bath and changed his clothes and we went back down and had dinner. Carter ate restaurant fries and a little bit of his cheese sandwich. He kept it down so we thought maybe it was his teeth or ear ache or maybe even the windy roads. Anyway after dinner we went back to the room and hang out watch some TV and went to bed. About 1 or so Carter woke up screaming and I couldn't get him to stop. After about 15 minutes he just stopped. Then I tried to go back to sleep and about 2 Kamden throw up. So then Ryan and I tried to go back to sleep then about a quarter to 3 or so Kamden woke up again throwing up. Poor Ryan he had to get up at 3 so he got up to go to work. I bet he was wishing we hadn't come up so he could have gotten better sleep. The kids then decided to get up at 6:45. It doesn't seem to matter when I put them to bed they still get up early. Anyway we went to McDonald's for breakfast and Carter ate a lot and kept it down, Kamden ate pretty well and kept it down so them seem to be doing better. We hung out until Ryan got off work at 11:30. We then decided to stay in Kellog and go on a gondola(?) ride. It is I can't remember the largest in the world or the u.s. Anyway it is a 20 minute ride up the mountain. We got up there and they had a bounce house and a play area and Frisbee golf. Then we took 2 different chair lifts further up the mountain to a fire look out. It was so pretty up there. I enjoyed it a lot but Carter was with Ryan on the last chair lift and his ears started to really hurt. I am sure even more because of an ear infection. Anyway Ryan didn't have anything because I was behind him with the diaper bag. That was silly. We then took the chair lifts back to the lodge and had lunch and the kids played again for awhile. During lunch Carter throw up again. Luckily I had brought an extra pair of clothes and we had wet wipes. I don't know what people did before wet wipes. Boy we use those for everything. So when we got down the mountain we went to check on the last of the guys on the job and then looked at two jobs in Spokane before we headed home. We stopped in Cour d lane to have ice cream and just before we pulled into the drive through Carter throw up again and had a blow out all over. Luckily we had wet wipes again we cleaned up the mess with them. I smelled the whole way home but at least everything was clean. So we were glad to be home. I think Carter was the happiest of all.

We made it through the night with no throwing up. Carter still doesn't look very good and now Cole says he isn't feeling well. So I am staying home durning the first part of church and then Ryan will be home so I can go teach my class.

One of the counselor in the bishopric stopped by this morning to extend me a new calling. They want me to teach in Relief Society (teaching for our times). Of course yesterday on the way home Ryan and I read an article in the ensign about callings and excepting them. So if there is one calling I never wanted this is the second worst. The first of course being Sunday school for the adults. When I was in the Relief Society presidency this was the hardest part of the calling. My neck would stiffen up and I couldn't move and I would be sick after I was done. So this should be really fun and how do you say a good experience RIGHT????

Pictures of football

So in the top picture Cole is the kid right in front of his coach in the green t-shirt. And the picture to the side Cole is stand right next to his coach in the green t-shirt. He is still playing the quarter back. They just got there jerseys they are orange and they are called the vipers.

More and More Football

Hey, I am going to try and blog a little more often. Because I remember things better and because I love hearing from you girls more often. So I figure if I try and be better about blogging more often maybe you guys will too.

During the day on days Ryan is gone aren't so bad because he is usually gone anyway but boy did we all really miss him tonight. We always call him on the phone and say family prayers with him when he is out of town. The kids think that is so cool. I spent all day cleaning the house and paying bills oh so fun. The kids went swimming today. It was a little cooler today it was only in the 80's but they still wanted to swim. Cole's friend didn't have any swim shorts so he wanted to borrow some of Cole's. That was fine but he is alot bigger than Cole. He tired on three pair before he squeezed into a pair. I felt bad for the kid. Then of course we had football tonight. Cole loves it! I got a few pictures they aren't close ups but we can't get to close because Carter will go out on the field.

I can't seem to get the pictures up loaded so I will try again later.

Kooper was here!

Well it has been a week. I am really hoping when school starts that things will calm down a little. I have a feeling things will still be busy but hopefully a more routine busy.

We went down to Hermiston again last week to the water park. I met someone who knew Grandma Forey and Grandma McGinnis. That was kind of funny.

I picked up Bailey and Mike Thursday night from the airport. Boy Kooper is such a cutie. He is a big boy. He was sick all weekend poor kid. Every time he comes he seems to be sick. Bailey and Mike came for Mike's b-day. Anyway Mike, Bailey, Kooper, Mom, Dad and our family went out on the boat from about 11 to 6 on Friday. Then Bailey and Mike went out to dinner for Mike's B-day and the rest of the family and Kim's family did Pizza at mom and dad's. That is a typical friday night dinner for us. We love pizza!

Our family got up early and went out to get a good spot at Levylanding on Saturday. We were there at 8 in the morning. Our family had breakfast and hangout until the afternoon. When Baily, Mom and Kim's family all came out. Mike and Dad went golfing then they came out later. Brett and Anthony, Ryan's brother and his son also came out. We had lunch and dinner out there. Then everyone had to go most of them had a wedding reception to go to. We stayed out until about 8pm. It was a really long day. We also meet up with some old friends. Chelsie Bishop(Brown) and Paul(her brother), Shawn Bennion and Stuart Bennion and there families were out there boating.

We all slept really well but our family had Stake Conference at 9 am so we were up early. We were all really exhausted all day. Sunday we had dinner at mom's this time Bailey and Mike and Kim's family were there that was nice to have more family. Bailey and Mike almost missed there flight lucky Bailey checked there tickets and they got there 1 hour before the flight left. Mike thought the flight left at 5 and they were going to leave at 3:30 or 4 but Bailey looked at the tickets at just before 3 and show that there flight left at 4. It was a really fun weekend but I was totally wiped.

Ryan has been working longer hours again this week. He left this morning until Saturday night for work out of town. I really hate that because that means I have to take the two kids to Cole's football practices. That usually means I don't really get to watch Cole much. Plus the whole putting the kids to bed by myself. I really love having Ryan home to help put the kids to bed. The kids are really good about just going to bed but it is really nice to have him here for that.

Mom and I went out to dinner and did a Mary Kay night. It was fun just ran to long we left about 10:15 and the lady was still talking it started at 7 pm. We did this a couple of weeks ago. It is really fun to do a girls night out with mom. Mom and I took the kids to go see the free movie (Cheaper by the Dozon) today. After that Cole really wanted to spend his money at old navy so mom went with us. Then I remembered I really wanted to go to JCPenny's to get Cole a suit for his b-day. So mom went with us and we ended up shopping for a while. It was good but the kids weren't very good today. I think the kids do better when it is just them and I.

Pictures are of all of us boating on Friday and Saturday. Then of Cole and Kamden on there last day of swim lessons.

Carter on the tube!

Well, what can I say we were out boating again. We went out about 8:30 am to Levy Landing to find a good spot and mom and dad came out about noon and when they left our friends the Belliston's came out. We have been having alot of fun out on the boat. It has been a fun way to spend time as a family and with friends. The first pictures is of our friend Brian out on the tube. We kept forgeting to get a picture of Ryan this is what Cole got of Ryan him getting into the boat. Ryan hasn't been getting much time out in the water since he drives most of the time. I am driving once in awhile. It makes me very nervous. Then the last picture is of Carter. This is his second time on the tube. The first time he cried and this time he did very well no crying. We still can't get Kamden to go out.

Ryan and I had temple recomend interviews and the counsler told me they are moving our church time to 2 pm. Last year we were at 1pm and now in the middle of the year we are going back to that time and an hour later at that. He said that was going to be better. You can tell he doesn't have any kids. I feel for those teacher that have to do this time again so soon with all those crabby kids.

Monday Ryan got off early and we went out on the boat. The river water and really down. Some friends of ours went out too and messed up there prop. There was so much garbage floating in the river. The kids really didn't want to get in. They finally did. What a great family home evening the last two weeks. Now we just need to get the lesson in.j/k We do that on Sundays.

Cole has been playing the quarter back at football. He is trying to learn all the plays. The coach bought him an arm band with all the plays on it. He is really loving football. He got lucky he has a pretty good coach and team. A friend of ours was gone during tryouts and they didnt' have a coach so they had a dad volunteer and he is really bad. I am not sure they will learn a whole lot this year. Next week Cole has his games every Monday.

We signed the kids up for an 8:30 swim lesson time. Wow that is too early. We were trying to get back to an early schedule for school.

Today we went to see Aquamarine with mom at the free movies the kids loved it and Carter slept that worked out really well. Ryan took Cole and a couple of the guys from work out on the boat. Well Kamden and I made dinner for our dinner group. One of the girls from our dinner group had a baby shower tonight. Her mom gave her a shower and it is her second. I always think that is so funny people getting a shower for each kid they have because it is a different sex or it has been along time since they have had a baby. I don't think people need another shower most of the time close friends will give you gifts. It was nice to get out and visit. They did a different game the had a list of a bunch of animals and you had to write what they call the babies. Like Cow and calf. I think I got 7 out of 20. Most of them I had never even heard off.

New Boat!

This cute picture of Cole we are going to put on his baptism program.
Can you believe that he is going to be eight and get baptized.

The two pictures of everyone dressed up is from Derick's wedding. Derick is Ryan's cousin. Kamedn is standing with your grandma Bassett and the other lady is her sister Lynnette. Then we got all the kids, Melanie, Ryan and all of the kids together for a picture. Lynnette brought great grandpa Hughes up for Derick's wedding. It was nice to see him. The last time we saw him was a year ago at the Hughes family renioun.

Cole got his football gear on Saturday. They are not getting there jerseys for a couple of weeks. It was funny they fitted Cole for his helmet they put it on him and then he and Ryan were walking back to the car and Ryan told Cole he could take his helmet off. Cole couldn't get it off so Ryan tried and he couldn't so his coach tried who is a very large guy and he couldn't either. It took the both of them to get it off. So they went back over to get a new helmet. The guy wanted Cole to put the helmet back on and Cole started to cry and begged Ryan to not let them put it back on. So the guy switched out the pads around the ears and it was fine after that. It was a little scary for Cole. Cole is very excited about football he loves it. They have him as the team quarterback and he gets to call his own plays.

On Saturday we bought a boat. The kids love it. We weren't able to take it out on Saturday we didn't get home from buying until 7pm and we had the wedding reception. So Ryan got off early from work on Monday and we went out about 2:30. We picked up mom and dad about 4:30 and had dinner on the boat. Mom and dad road on the tubes together. Mom said she has never been on a tube before she did well. Dad looked like he was have a really good time. He had the biggest smile on his face. I think it was just seeing mom out there. Cole had a good time he had a friend with him. I was the first one to go out. Ryan got up on the knee board. Cole and his friend decided to try the knee board but a storm was coming to we went in about 7.

Football

O.k. do I over kill on all the pictures and writing forever long bloggs? Sorry, I love my kids I guess. So I don't remember when exactly I last posted. The kids started new swimming classes this week. There are a few pictures of Kamden going down the slide this week. Since I didn't get one of her last week.

Ryan went Lake Chelan this week for a couple of days to work. He said it is there city ordience to not have any fast food restraunts. Well the first morning they got up and went to work at 3 am and they didn't have anything to eat until 1 in the afternoon. The gas stations were closed and the grocery stores until later in the morning and then they were to busy so it was late. So that night Ryan went out and got juice and donuts for the next morning. I thought that was kind of funny. When they first got the job they thought they were going to have to stay at the camp grounds because there were no rooms available but last minute they found some rooms on line. It was a good thing because I guess they lock the campgrounds down until 7 or 8 am so I am not to sure how that would have worked for them.

So Monday we had swimming lessons and Cole started football. He loves it. They have only been doing drills and conditioning no tackling yet. So we will see once the hitting starts. He also told me he is the fast and the best kid on the team. It is so cute to watch him get so excited and tell me how good he is.

Tuesday Cole had golf and football and Kamden had swimming lessons. We also had some friends over. The were there for 4 hours the only reason they left I think is because I went in and started on the group dinners. We had a good time. It was some friends we hadn't seen in awhile.

Wed we went to see Nanny McPhee with mom and then we went Hermiston they have a water park there and then we came right home to Cole's football. (Boy football is going to be our life for awhile.) The kids had a great time. I think Carter was very warn out he didn't get a nap that day.

Thursday Cole had a gold tournament. There is a picture of him and Kamden after wards he won a hat. I got the house cleaned and the car cleaned. It seemed to take all day with all the running around swimming, golf, football.

Today we had swimming and I didn't get a picture of Cole because Carter kept trying to get into the pool. Then Cole helped me and watched Carter so I could get pictures of Kamden today. So tonight we have football again tonight and then at 7 we are head over to Dennis and Melanie's. Ryan's cousin is getting married this weekend for his grandpa and aunt are here for that. So we are going over for dinner and to play cards.

The other two pictures are of Kamden and Carter and I we are at Cole's football and board so we were taking pictures but I never did take any of Cole. I will later.

Summer Days!

I am trying to up load some other pictures but I am having a hard time. This pictures is of Cole going down the slide at swimming lessons. On fridays at swimming lessons they have what they call friday fun day. All the kids in swimming lessons get to go down the slide or dive off the diving board. They don't have lessons they just get to play around. I got a picture of Cole but never could get one of Kamden coming down the slide. She loves to go down the slide.

Friday grandma Bassett came to visit we hadn't seen her in proably 4 to 5 weeks. Kamden was sleeping on my lap and Melonie came over to me and picked her(Kamden) up to hold her. Kamden opened her eyes and gave a fun very funny face to Melanie. I don't think she recognized grandma. It took her a minute to figure out who she was. I had a V.T. BBQ. All the ladies I visit and there kids came over to swim and play and eat. The kids had a great time. They didn't want the kids to leave.

Saturday morning we had to go to Howard Amon for Kamden's last dane preformance of the dance year. We went at 8:30am it was nice out I think it was in the 70's. It has been in the 80's and will be all week. Nice weather except for swimming. Kamden had a birthday party and the whold family was invited. They have a pool with a slide and a diving board. The kids pretty much didn't leave the pool. They also had a huge bounce house. It had 3 rooms in it. They also had vollyball net set up with lines and a swing set and a trampoline. It seemed like over kill on all the toys. It was funny because they served hot dogs for everyone. Not sausage dogs just hot dogs and everyone brought a salad and they served water. I was shocked the food was done really cheap. But, we all had a really good time. We have never seen a whole family birthday party.

Sunday we ate at mom's and dad's we had BBQ beef sandwichs. Kim and all her kids plus Ishmel were all there too. It was nice to have a bigger group of family at grandma's. Cole and Ryan and Cole went to a baptism. It was some friends of Cole's from school. Can you believe Cole is getting baptized here really soon.

We started a new session of swimming lessons. I couldn't get the kids in at the same time. Cole goes at 9:30 and Kamden at 10:10. So Carter and get to set there for about an 1 1/2. It is a little to long. Because we have early lessons we don't go over to the park for lunch. The kids don't like that but I like being done earlier. Cole starts football practice tonight. This will be the first year he will play Grid Kids. He is very excited. He has decided to wait to do Tae Kwon Do. I am very nervous about him playing football. Especially with no insurance. I really hope he dosen't get hurt.

Summer Time!

Well I can't believe it has been a week since I have posted. The summer is just flying by. We have been very busy this summer. I know I have already said that but we have been.

Friday we all went and saw Nacho Libre. Cole really wanted to see it we were supose to go see it a couple of weeks ago. Kamden and Carter both sat through the movie really well. Saturday Ryan had to work so we did chores and hang out in the pool. Like mom said we had dinner at mom's. We love going there too I don't have to cook. Who wouldn't love that.

This was the last week of swimming lesson for this season. It has been in the 100's so it has been really nice for the kids to go to swimming lessons. The bad thing is Carter and I have to sit through them it is so hot. They don't do a tiny tots class any more until they are 18 months so next year. The kids had testing today and Kamden passed level one and Cole passed level 4A. Cole is so excited he has passed a level each session this summer. Kamden shocked me today she swam by herself about 15 feet or so to her teacher. She wears her lifejacket in our pool all the time. So I didn't know she could do that. She tried to do the back float or stroke and didn't make it very far. She can float but to move she doesn't do as well on.

Kamden had a tap/ballet practice Wednesday morning for the Allied Art show on Saturday. I am so glad they are having the kids preform at 9 am before it gets to hot. Although I heard on the news that by Sunday it will be in the 80's and today it was in the 100's so that is quiet a drop. We have been spending every afternoon in the pool. Ryan came home last week and said that is it we are getting a boat. He really wants a boat. I am guessing it is all the heat.

So the pictures are of swimming lessons and the other ones are of last night. We went to a penny carnival. The public pool does a carnival for the kids. I remember we use to go to a nickel carnival down by Kennewick High when we were kids.

And there is also a picture of Carter and his messed up face. At swimming lessons he loves to climb up on the the car stopers. I don't know what you call them. Anyway he went and jump off and fell on his face. He didn't even use his hands to brake the fall. I have gotten lots of comments about how I beat my child up. I just love that!

These bottom two pictures are of the kids in the pj's grandma picked up for the kids while her and dad were on vacation. I was telling her a while ago how I thought it was really nice that my sister Chauntel's in-laws buy all her kids pj's. Pj's aren't something I buy usually. So mom got these really cute pj's. We couldn't get Carter to come inside to take a picture with the other two kids. He loves being out side and he always has a bat or something that can be his bat (broom stick, plastic veggies anything somewhat shaped like a bat that he can swing with). So this was the only picture we could get of him in his pj's. One morning after breakfast he had gone out side and I was ready to give the kids a bath. So I tried to get Carter to come in and he wouldn't come. So I had to pick him up and carry him in. He started to cry and scream even through the bath and up until I took him back out side to play. It was funny after the fact.

Last week a friend invited us over to swim in a pool. So there are a couple of pictures of the kids swimming. Kamden loves to go anywhere with her life vest on. She has been in swiming lesson now for a week. Today they went down the slide she went down a couple of times. She loves the water. I thought she was are fish but I think Carter is. The other day Ryan and Carter where out in the pool with other kids. Carter kept pushing Ryan away so he let go of him and he jumped into the water. He went to the bottom and then started to float up and when he got close to the top Ryan picked him up and he had been holding his breath. He loves to just go and jump in the water now float and hold his breath until you pick him up out of the water. It is a little scary he is not scared of the water at all. Kamden still swims with her mouth open. Chauntel I think it is almost better to have your kids scared of the water and to jump in when you are not looking when they can't swim. The picture of Carter at the pool crying. He is crying because Ryan put floaties on him and that made him made he didn't want floaties on. He wanted to jump in and float up. He didn't want something to keep him up in the water.

Last weekend Kamden had her big preformance of the year. They do small preformace for a couple of months but last weekend was the big show for them. Anyway she did a great job she was so cute. Next year which starts at the end of August she will be in a company tap/ballet. Which they practice longer and the preform more. She loves to get up a preform.

I feel like I have been nonstop since school has gotten out. Running from one thing to the next all the time swimming, panio, tap/ballet, dinner, friends, free movies, doctors appointment, vactions, baseball games and there is always something else.

The last week we have been looking into TiKwonDo for Cole. He is trying to decide between that and football and baseball. He has wanted to do Karate/TiKwonDo for a long time now and we told him he had to wait until he was 8. So know he can't decide what he wants to do. It will be a big comittment and he wont be able to do other things. So we will see we went to two different places this week.

Sorry I have been so bad at updating. Everytime I get on the computer to even check my email Ryan says I am always on the computer. I keep telling him I haven't been on really at all. Maybe once a week to check my email. The other reason was I was having a hard time getting the pictures up load to photomax and on to the computer. It is much easier to upload a few pictures every couple of days then once in a while and doing lots a pictures all at one time.
